About: DYNAMIQ is an enterprise platform enabling the rapid creation, deployment, and management of AI workflows and AI agents across industries like finance, healthcare, and the public sector. With features like a low-code builder, observability tools, and LLM fine-tuning, it empowers teams to seamlessly integrate AI while maintaining full control within their infrastructure.

We’ve been part of DYNAMIQ's journey since its earliest stages—starting with the creation of a landing page and pitch materials to attract investors. As the product evolved, we worked on designing the platform, updating the website, and crafting marketing materials to support its growth.

Challenge: The challenge was to design an intuitive interface for a complex, technical product. The goal: simplify AI integration without compromising functionality, ensuring adaptability and compliance across diverse industry workflows.

Approach: Our work began by helping the client define the vision, transitioning from investor pitches to building a full-fledged platform. We prioritized user-friendly design, crafting drag-and-drop workflows, clear navigation, and streamlined deployment processes. We also supported the client in activities like website updates and marketing, aligning every touchpoint with the platform’s innovative yet accessible approach.

Research & Exploration

Our initial phase involved deep research into industry requirements and user stories to define key functionalities. Understanding the specific use cases for AI-powered workflows across different sectors informed our design approach, ensuring the platform would be intuitive yet robust. This phase laid the groundwork for user-centered features, with special attention to the unique challenges faced by industries such as financial services and healthcare.

Wireframing & Iterations

We developed wireframes that focused on simplifying complex tasks, like workflow creation and deployment. Through several iterations, the layouts were refined to ensure users could easily navigate between workflows, metrics, and AI interactions. These wireframes acted as the blueprint for building an intuitive interface that minimizes the learning curve for non-technical users while offering scalability for more advanced users.

Design System

To ensure consistency and scalability, we adopted GitHub's Primer design system as a foundation. This choice facilitated seamless collaboration with developers. We then customized it to fit DYNAMIQ’s visual style and branding, ensuring it met both functional and aesthetic needs.

Workflows

The platform's drag-and-drop builder allows users to construct complex workflows by selecting AI modules, configuring states, and connecting various tools like OpenAI and databases. The layout was designed to be visually intuitive, ensuring that users can manage inputs, outputs, and error handling with ease. The workflow creation process is streamlined to accommodate both technical and non-technical users.

Deployments & Metrics

Deployment of AI workflows is handled through a simple interface that guides users from development to production environments. Users can monitor key metrics such as performance scores and efficiency, with real-time monitoring features for better decision-making. The focus was on making deployments accessible, with clear paths from setup to final output.

Observability

The platform includes observability features that help users monitor every interaction in their workflows. This includes logging, evaluating workflow quality, and ensuring compliance across operations. The interface enables users to track changes and maintain control of their deployments, keeping workflow processes transparent and reliable.

Guardrails & Fine-Tuning

The platform integrates guardrails that maintain compliance and precision in AI-generated outputs. Validation prompts and error-checking processes are presented clearly, allowing users to fine-tune their workflows with minimal friction. This helps ensure that outputs remain reliable while still offering flexibility for adjustments.

Collaboration tools such as shared workflows and access-controlled spaces enable teams to work together efficiently. These features allow for easy sharing, reviewing, and managing of workflows in real-time, enhancing team productivity while ensuring data security.

Branding & Website

Beyond the platform's UI/UX design, we also worked on branding and website design to reflect DYNAMIQ’s innovative and technical nature. A clean, minimalist style was implemented to enhance clarity and professionalism. The website was built with a focus on simplicity and functionality, providing visitors with a clear understanding of the platform’s capabilities while maintaining a visually engaging layout.
