Redesigning B2B Platform for Seamless Delivery Management
About: GoLocker provides secure lockers for last-mile e-commerce deliveries across New York. They needed a more efficient platform to manage package tracking and locker usage for both retailers and customers.
Challenge: Their existing admin panel was too basic, limiting functionality and making it hard to manage deliveries and locker operations. A more intuitive, user-friendly system was needed to improve efficiency.
Approach: We redesigned the platform with user-focused dashboards, real-time tracking, and role-based access. The new design improved package management, was responsive across devices, and allowed GoLocker to scale easily.
Research & Exploration
Discovery Phase: We initiated the project with workshops and interviews to understand GoLocker's challenges, user needs, and business objectives. This phase set the foundation for our design approach.
Information Architecture: After gathering insights, we focused on organizing the platform's structure, ensuring that users could easily navigate and find information. This involved creating a clear sitemap and defining user flows.
Low-Fidelity Wireframes: We developed low-fidelity wireframes to outline the layout and functionality of key screens. This allowed us to visualize the user experience without getting bogged down in details.
Visual concepting
Reservation Flow: Additionally, we implemented a Reservation Flow that simplifies the process of creating reservations. Users can search for a customer by name, email, phone, or account number, and easily input required package details such as Location, Package Size, Reservation Type, Delivery Agent, and Tracking Info. This feature also includes the ability to track reservations, with options to edit and extend them as needed.
Features
Reservation List
During the project, we focused on enhancing several key functionalities for GoLocker’s platform to improve user experience and operational efficiency. One major feature we developed is the Reservation List, which allows users to create multiple views of reservations. This functionality includes grouping, filtering, and sorting options, making it easier to manage packages by Company Type or Location. Users can also set custom views as default, streamlining their workflow.

Dashboard
To keep users informed, we introduced a What’s New and Notifications feature. This allows the platform to notify users about significant events, such as weather warnings, expired packages, new lockers, and feature updates. Admins can also create news updates to communicate important information effectively, enhancing the overall user experience within the portal.
